The tech support guy said there is only a 90 day warranty on the new modem, but that extended warranty seems like a scam/way to make an extra buck. I just got a free replacement, so why would I need an extended warranty?!? I just got the replacement, a Westell 7500, in the mail today, and I didn't even have to send my old modem back.
