Jun 03, 2016 · I agree that WDTV or WDTV Live is no longer a viable for the popular streaming services, but it is the only viable option I have found to support streaming my personal collection of over 10K media files of which 85% are in the.avi format. Roku does not support the.avi format.

May 24, 2016 · As hinted, WD TV Live Streaming Media Player (Gen 3) is the version with Netflix support. The current WDTV Media Player product hardware is practically identical (just no LIVE on the front panel) but software is different - Netflix is one of the features removed.

Jun 03, 2016 · Is the WD TV Media Player been discontinued? I cannot not find any new players either in my local Best Buy or Staples stores, nor can I find any on-line. Only refurbished versions are available on-line, some for outrageous prices. Hope someone can clarify this me as to what is going on.

Apr 07, 2016 · Today I discovered that no WD media player can read video files with H265 codes (HEVC). Most of the files around are with this codec. My WDTV Live Hub is now becoming useless, please do something.
