I'm reading through the PDFs on vmwares site and it mentions in several places that vmware supports microsoft clustering in some way. But why and to what extent? What benifit (if any) does a microsoft cluster have over vmware?

May 12, 2011 · From what i've read Windows 2008 has dropped support for SCSI-2 for use with Clusters but ESX3 doesn't support SCSI-3, so I'm contemplated using iSCSI drives for the quorum and other shared volumes. The VMware documents for virtual clusters for both ESX3.x and vShpere 4.x state that they don't support iSCSI.
