I'd love to enable USB 2.0 for my WinXP VMs without having to uninstall player, install workstation, perform the upgrade, uninstall workstation, and re-install player.

Jan 27, 2016 · UPDATE: I just found this KB: VMware KB: Host and guest OS USB 3.0 and virtual xHCI support with Workstation 9. It says that o n Windows 7 and Windows XP hosts, USB 3.0 support of Workstation in the guest operating system is experimental and limited to specific configurations of USB 3.0 hardware and drivers.
