I am looking at buying a new machine. It seems that the fastest I7 chips don't have VT-D support on them. If I get a machine that does not support VT-D what am I missing out on - what can't I do that Intel VT-D would give? Also what are the requirements if I want to virtualize ESXi 5.0 within itself. So have Esxi run as a guest for experimentation.
