Mar 21, 2018 · Whilst it is possible to do, it is important that as well as having virtualisation support enabled in the BIOS, it also needs to be passed through from the first layer hypervisor (in your case VMWare Workstation) to the ESXi VM, although it's been quite a while since I've worked with VMWare Workstation, so I'm not 100% sure that it is supported in VMWare Workstation.
