Nov 02, 2014 · Have just installed the Technical Preview in a Windows 8 x64 machine on Fusion 7. The VMware Tools wouldn't install from the menu-bar link, so I had to go into the VMware app package, get the Windows.iso and mount it as a CD/DVD drive. Once VMware Tools was installed I was able to resize the desktop to fit my native resolution.

Nov 01, 2012 · fusin 4 does not support windows 8 as guest . Even if you manage to install ( it appears you did ) , copy pste, sharing etc will not work as tools of version 4 are not compatible with windos 8 my advise : upgrade to fusion 5.
