Jun 14, 2013 · VLC is open source. BMD supplies a free SDK for the Decklink. Why not post this on the VLC forum. Somebody may want to take this project on as the prices on some Decklink cards has fallen to $150. This is well within a hobbiest price point.

I want to use VLC to play out video and audio through my blackmagic decklink mini monitor card, but as far as I can see, it isn't supported. I've found quite a few forum posts claiming that it was added years ago in 2013, but I can't find any mention of it on VLC's site besides two references to the decklink capture card as a video source.
