I need to use the acpi_listen command. It wasn't installed so I did: pacman -S acpid Then when I run the command acpi_listen I get: acpi_listen: can't open socket /var/run/acpid.socket: No such file or directory I checked the in /var/run and the file does not exist. I followed the instructions at this site to get pure Lubuntu. Unfortunately, after doing so my computer will no longer boot into the GUI. I'm able to switch over to a terminal just fine, but the GUI never comes up.

Feb 25, 2012 · Re: [SOLVED] Build failed: no such file or directory? I did a pacman -Syu, everything is up to date, doesn't upgrade to 3.2.6.1-ARCH but are you 100% sure that is the problem, the correct version folder is there?
