Nov 16, 2017 · In the interim though, I did go into the BIOS and changed USB Initialization from 'Partial' to 'Full' (I read that the USB function can get turned off in this kind of case, so I assumed, albeit half-heartedly, that the failure had changed the setting).

Nov 18, 2015 · Don't know about other mobos, but on Gigabyte ones under the Fast/Ultra Fast Boot option, you can select either Partial Initial USB Support (specific ports unavailable), Full Initial USB Support (all ports available) or PS/2-only support, so you can still get into the BIOS after a proper power-cycle. Jun 05, 2016 · when u set ultra fast boot, do you adjust usb support or PS device support? if no, the default of usb support is partial initial: specific usb port/devic will not be available before OS boot. if u use usb keyboard, you may try PS2 keyboard. or you may Clear Cmos to default to enter bios setup.

Nov 18, 2014 · All I can find in the BIOS is "USB Support - Disabled: All USB devices are disabled before the OS boot process completes Full initial: All USB devices are functional in the OS and during POST Partial initial: Part of the USB devices are disabled before the OS boot process completes" The "partial" is the default. I tried the others, to no effect.
