Oct 12, 2013 · Charging Support for Great People is just plain insane. ONE person costs as much as an entire Crossbow unit? A Tank unit? A Battleship? As part of a Military unit's Support must be the cost of lodging, I believe that since you are already paying Maintenance for a Barracks, that should negate at least some of the Support costs.

Spontaneously, you'd think the Civilopedia field is unimportant, and you'll be tempted to leave it empty, or to use some convenient Civilopedia link (for example, your Cataphract unit would link to the pedia entry for the knight).

May 14, 2018 · If a stronger unit ALWAYS won against a weaker unit, it would take some of the thrill out of the game and make it too mechanical. As it stands, you have to strategize and contemplate your actions a bit more. The most valid complaints regarding combat come from instances where someone loses a modern military unit to an early era unit.

While many of these are the same as they were in Civilization II, each of the game’s sixteen civilizations now has a special unit that fits in a particular era. When one of your special unit wins a combat against another Civ, a Golden Age will be triggered and will last 20 turns, during which time your cities enjoy increased production and trade.
