ASPSA academic counselors engage in conversations with student-athletes to also provide guidance toward selecting a major and preparing for a career after their time at UNC. In this secondary role, academic counselors refer students to campus resources such as Academic Advising Program , University Career Services , and the Student-Athlete Development in the Department of Athletics.

Academic Infractions: All infractions will be recorded cumulatively for the semester (not by individual course). Student-Athletes who have a history of infractions may lose their tutoring privileges. Student-Athletes, their coaches, and their academic counselor will be notified of each documented academic infraction via email.

Textbook Process. Student-athletes that have been designated to receive a textbook scholarship (as identified by the Athletics Compliance Office) will receive textbooks, access codes and/or additional course materials at the beginning of each term.
