Oct 26, 2011 · Here is an 8 year old ewe who is a top milk producer, but has good udder structure. Generally after 4 or 5 years old the heavy milkers tend to get more and more pendulous as the support ligaments break down. This ewe is a good example of how good support extends the longevity of the ewe. These teats do point down more than I like.

Nov 29, 2019 · Congrats on your twins! I'd have to second Janene's reply that this is a cow that should not be lactating. If her udder support is poor, then she is at a lot of risk to step on her own teats and cause some nasty problems, the least of which would be mastitis.
