In my experience, lifting the bass trombone with the Ergobone attached put added pressure and tension on my left arm by the act of getting the trombone in the Ergobone playing position. The repetitive "up and down" movement of a trombone from playing to resting position with 15% more weight proved to not only inconvenient, but tiresome.
