Mar 05, 2016 · setterm: terminal xterm does not support --blank. setterm: cannot (un)set powersave mode: Inappropriate ioctl for device. on the latest ubuntu image available on the wiki with an updated kernel. I also have the same problem with arch linux arm.

Enhanced coloring is not available on this terminal because the terminal does not support extended highlighting. Any idea what to do, to get this function working.

Jul 02, 2017 · Windows Command Prompt does not support 256 colors 😢 You will need to use a different terminal, like Git For Windows or Msys2 to get 256 color support, and then point hyper.js to their respective executable.

Colored text doesn't show in terminal. Colored text in terminal doesn't show even after un-commenting force_color_prompt=yes in .bashrc. I have to reload .bashrc by issuing . ~/.bashrc command before it takes effect.

The newest version of ncurses ships with a tmux-256color terminfo entry (the FAQ does mention this). As an example, a benefit of using tmux-256color over screen-256color is that italics is properly rendered (screen doesn't support italics). So if you have the latest ncurses package, the following will work as well: set -g default-terminal "tmux-256color"
