reason, your WinCvs tries to use the :ext: protocol (aka ssh, rsh, etc.) instead of :pserver: . Also note that you only need to login once (and only once) to a repository with pserver. Once you have run the login command on a pserver repository, your login information is cached locally in a file called .cvspass in your HOME directory.
