I am part of a group chat with my coworkers (who all have iPhones), whenever I am on my home wi-fi or work wi-fi they seem to be receiving my texts twice. when they text me it comes with a serious delay, and I don't receive images they send.

I have troubleshooted with T-Mobile and with Google neither of which have been able to fix the problem and both say that it's a problem on the other company's end. T-Mobile also suggested I do a warranty exchange which I'm not very excited about since I would be trading in my brand new phone for a possibly refurbished one. Any suggestions?

Apr 09, 2019 · I can verify this fix works! I had a Samsung S7 Active unlocked from AT&T with this same exact issue. I called T-Mobile support and they had me go through all the debug steps - New APN entry, clearing cache on my browser, clearing storage on multiple apps on the phone.

Dec 22, 2018 · while RCS is supported on T-Mobile for which we can already see delivered and other statuses when we are texting other T-Mobile users with RCS capability the chat features are a Google server side activation. while RCS is Carrier dependent the chat feature has to be turned on by Google through the messaging app.
