Stanislaus County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services have an established history of collaboration with key community partners in the development of supported housing since 1997 when Garvey House was established.

The CSOC formally known as the Stanislaus County Housing and Support Services Collaborative/Continuum of Care (CoC), was formed in 1988. In July of 2001, the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors, the City of Modesto, and the majority of our local city governments, officially recognized the CoC as the coordinating body for homeless programs and services in Stanislaus County.
