The problem is that when Splinter Cell was released, no one really used pads on PC. Times have changed, and thankfully developers are now adding pad support on their latest titles. However the Original Splinter Cell suffers from a speed of movement issue.

Unfortunately, Splinter Cell PC does not provide support for Game Pads or Joysticks. If you wish to use a joystick or gamepad with Splinter Cell, you can only do so if your Joystick / Gamepad has software that allows you to assign keyboard strokes to movement and buttons.

Steam support for steam controllers (and PS4 is now considered a "steam controller") is amazing but still rough around the edges for me. Pinnacle is dated looking and paid software but was the only way I could get Splinter Cell 1 and 2 working 99% perfectly on PC.

Jul 06, 2014 · It says that it supports the Xbox 360 controller. edit: Also about your question if other Splinter Cell games support controller, I'm not sure. There is no mention of controller support in the steam store page for conviction or any other splinter cell game (at least no mention that i saw)
