Apr 07, 2006 · Since DOS does not natively support USB at all, it would be heavily reliant on the ability of your motherboard to also provide such support with third party drivers. I would not expect a high success rate unless you can find hardware specific drivers.

Sep 25, 2011 · Hi, If the UEFI system has good BIOS emulation, specifically INT 13 support then Spinrite 6 may work. The other issues are problems with AHCI IDE compatibility and unless the UEFI/BIOS support good emulation Spinrite may not even be able to detect the disk controller.

BUT here is the problem: Spinrite could not see the Maxtor 200 gb 1 touch 2.0 USB drive that was plugged into the system. So it could not test the USB drive. I asked SpinRite about this and they said that they do not currently [[directly] support USB [drives] in their application.
