Jan 26, 2017 · In case you haven't heard, the Solaris 11 support dates have been extended by 10 years to 2031 for Premier Support and 2034 for Extended Support. Is there a new release of Solaris 10 on the horizon? The last release was 6 months ago. I couldn't get OpenSolaris to install on my Xeon machine (the mini-kernel won't boot), but GA installation went flawlessly. There are a few minor bugs fixed in opensolaris that I wouldn't mind installing (unless a Solaris 10 release happens to fix them).
