I've used both the PAP2 and the Grandstream handsets with Sipgate basic. Out of choice I went with Grandstream phones, as it's one less box to plug in. Sipgate Basic now supports Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) - the little red light on the corner of the Grandstreams, with their voicemail service, so that's good. Needs enabling on the phone.

Dec 20, 2010 · The only SIP that Google Voice supports natively is Gizmo5, but since autumn 2009, Gizmo5 is not open to new accounts. You can accomplish the same results if you get a free SIP account from Sipsorcery and use either Sipgate or IPKall to get a free US phone number to add to your SIP account for use with Google Voice.
