Again, TS2 doesn't use more than 1 core. But the OS can use the multi-core function to run programs, it just seems to have a compatibility issue with hypercores running TS2. By removing the 4 cores, it gives 100% functionality back to the original cores and the OS uses them without conflict with TS2. Hyperthreading is supposely only an i7 thing.

Ok, I have understood that my laptop isn't suitable for sims 3 :( I have 1-1,3 ghz but only sims 3 standard game wants 2 or more ghz. And only for standard game it works hard ( even if now is fast with patches and store objects ). Now my laptop can't support expansions anymore and is hazardous if I continue playing standard game.

Sims 3 on multi-core processors . Haven't seen this mentioned. I have a G15 keyboard which displays the use of each processor core as a separate graph. When playing Sims 2, one of the lines will go to the top, while the others stay near zero. When I play Sims 3, all three of the lines go close to 50%, with one of them going closer to 75%.
