Feb 09, 2012 · So could we say that is certifed and support ?Since the software is included in the distribution and is not a "preview feature" (check the Release Notes), it is definitely entitled to Oracle O/S support. However, it is up to each application team to determine which platform characteristics they want to support.

What is iSCSI ? The Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI) is an IP-based standard for connecting storage devices. iSCSI encapsulates SCSI commands in IP network packets. A client system (iSCSI initiator) accesses the storage server (iSCSI target) over an IP network. To an iSCSI initiator, the storage appears to be locally attached.

Does anyone know of a way to issue commands to a hard drive within Java? Does Java even support this kind of hardware interaction? For example, if I have a SCSI hard drive that I would like to inquiry, is there a pre-existing Java method to do this, or would I have to write my own?
