Layers: The SVG specification doesn't support layers per se. Inkscape and Illustrator use groups with special attributes to function as layers, but these aren't recognized by Scribus yet. Thus, SVG files are always opened/imported as single-layer graphics.

Scribus doesn't support WMF yet, and actually it doesn't need to, since there are two easy workarounds for the issue. Option 1: Inkscape Inkscape's import for WMF is quite mature, and most WMF files can be imported without issues. If you absolutely need to get a WMF file into Scribus, open it with Inkscape and save it as Inkscape SVG.

Oct 05, 2012 · hello carl michael it's not a scribus problem. there is something wrong with your .svg file. i'm not able to import it – but i copied the whole artwork and pasted it in a new inkscape file. this file can be imported without any problem.

May 01, 2018 · Currently, Scribus is the first desktop publishing software to support CxF3 files. There are more consequences to this. First of all, originally, Scribus required at least 16-bit per channel precision for the HLC Colour Atlas by FreieFarbe, but Jean Ghali went ahead and made this to be 64-bit per channel with floating point precision.
