I thought that maybe the software wasn't that important and that I could get it later if necessary, so i proceeded to the installation of windows.

Jan 07, 2011 · I am trying to install boot camp on a 2007 white Macbook. When I try to get the "Windows Support Software" it gives me two options: burn to cd/dvd and save to a fat-32 formatted external drive. I have tried both to no success. For the cd/dvd I am having to use an external dvd burner because the internal drive no longer works.

When I open up BootCamp, I'm asked if I want to download and install Windows support software, if I want to install Windows 7, or both. I clicked both. It then asks me where I want to save the Windows support software, either on a CD/DVD or on an external drive. I clicked the latter.
