Feb 04, 2016 · But when im installing the windows support software, it just gets stuck saving (i waited for about 30 minutes and my guess is it shouldnt take longer). I thought that maybe the software wasn't that important and that I could get it later if necessary, so i proceeded to the installation of windows.

Jun 16, 2013 · Windows will not install from a USB if you have an internal DVD so only the MB Air, MB Retina Pro, and newer iMac allow USB installation. So yes burn a DVD to install windows and then use the USB for support software installation.

I used my PC to create a bootable drive and download Windows 10 on a USB, which went fine. When I run Boot Camp Assistant, I select the bottom 2 options (Downloading Support software and downloading Windows). I've tried this multiple times, and every time it gets stuck saving the Support Software.
