Jun 01, 2018 · The problem is not limited to one specific program but occurs with everything. Even Notepad is affected by this slow ability to save or open files. I am using Windows 10 Home, Version 1709 Build 16299.192. All programs run without slowdown or difficulty. Opening File Explorer or trying to save or open a file from any program runs into a long delay.

Jan 14, 2017 · 1) File system has nothing to do with it as OS X is incapable of writing to an NTFS partition without 3rd-party software. 2) It has already been well established that Apple's servers are horrendously slow to download Windows support software when run through Boot Camp Assistant, which is why there are mirrors on their support site linked above.

The workaround is to go in your registry to HHEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Seagull Scientific \ Librarian \ File Dialog Create a new key of name "Use Windows Dialog" and type "REG_DWORD" with a value of 1 (0x00000001) This forces BarTender to use the Windows document dialog window, and the lag goes away completely.
