Oct 16, 2008 · PSP & Wireless Encryption - Any way to get WPA2 connected? - posted in Vita / PSP: My wireless network at home is encrypted with WPA2 and I noticed the PSP doesn't connect to it. Any way to get it connected without changing my security settings? This is horrible by Sony not to put this technology in yet. I would rather not change all my other settings (Wii/PS3/Laptop)

There's no problem with WPA2 on the PS3. The only device that i'm aware of that didn't support it was the PSP-1000 series. The PSPGo does and the Vita does (own both) and of course the PS3 does, both Slim and 60gb Phat. My advice to you would be to reset the router, failing that, try accessing the router settings and setting a custom WPA2 key.

In such a state, devices that support WPA2 will connect with WPA2 and devices that support WPA will connect with WPA. So “WPA2” doesn’t always mean WPA2-AES. However, on devices without a visible “TKIP” or “AES” option, WPA2 is generally synonymous with WPA2-AES.
