Feb 10, 2015 · I am hoping to run it, but i'm running Yosemite on my Macbook Pro (intel). From reading around I can see there used to be a program called Rosetta that bridged the gap, but that post Lion this has been long dead. Is there now a way to run PowerPC software like Adobe CS2 on my Macbook running Yosemite?

Oct 23, 2019 · If you depend on PowerPC programs, the latest version of OS X that you can run is Snow Leopard, since Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks, and Yosemite do not support Rosetta, the PowerPC emulator. See the Frequently Asked Questions section about Yosemite.

May 19, 2015 · These textbooks contain CD-ROMs that are written for the PowerPC CPU formerly used in Mac from 1996 until 2006. Rosetta was the transparent emulation software that Apple bundled with OS X Tiger (Intel) 10.4.x, Leopard 10.5.x and Snow Leopard 10.6.x. Subsequent versions of OS X, including Yosemite cannot run Rosetta natively.
