Computers with 2013 or a later year in the model name use Power Nap until the battery is drained. Computers with 2012 or an earlier year in the model name suspend Power Nap if the battery has a charge of 30% or less.

Dec 31, 2013 · I just updated my 2010 Macbook air with 10.8.2 and EFI program. And it seems that Power Nap is not working for me. I am plugged in and Power Nap option is checked in the system preference. The time machine backup in progress stop immediatly when I close the lid. The hard drive is a USB one (not wifi).
