War Thunder and Planetside 2 are the two things stopping me from going 100% Linux. I'm loving the experience so far. Some developers have noted that there is a market there. Many people I know who have tried Linux Mint and Windows 8 prefer Linux, but a lack of support for games is stopping them. I run Ubuntu, using the Gnome Shell interface.

Aug 07, 2016 · As there aren't an incredible amount of Linux gamers as compared to PC gamers, the devs just won't spend the time to make a Linux version. It would be awesome to see more platforms support PlanetSide 2, but right now there just doesn't seem to be the time or money to do so.

Oct 13, 2016 · They are actually updating PS2 to the a newer version of the engine used in Landmark and H1Z1, but there are no talks about porting any of them to Vulkan or DX12, specially DX12 considering DX12 requires Win10, and a large portion of players are still using Win7 and the PS4 only has partial support for either. PS4 has support for neither.
