Dec 13, 2010 · You would also need a high end gaming pc with a processor that supports sse2 at least. It should reqire a bios which you need to dump from your own ps2. once the setup is finished, it best to run the games in sse3, sse4, or ssse3.

Mar 01, 2008 · It's @ 3.0GHZ and it'll stay there, I don't have an issue with Frame rates in many games, it's jsut I've never seen a difference between SSE2 and SSSE3, at least, not that I noticed. GeForce 8800 GT, and my CPU is at about 50% in use during PCSX2, the thing in the corner says, rarely dips about 29-39% in most games.

Sounds like a GCC limitation, compilation of instructions is not limited to the host platform or architecture. You would only notice the processor limit at runtime, with a seg fault or similar.

I did searched on web and intel Software manual.But am unable to confirm if all Intel 64 architectures support upto SSSE3 or upto SSE4.1 or upto SSE4.2 or AVX etc. So that I would be able to use minimum SIMD supported instructions in my programme.
