Jan 19, 2010 · I have an Agere Win Modem (a PCI card fax modem) in my computer, which Windows 7 Professional 64-bit has correctly recognized and successfully installed. However, the same can't be said within XP Mode. If I install a standard 56K modem, it shows the modem as external and doesn't respond.
