Oct 20, 2014 · There is s a big debate at my company re out of hours support and the rate of remuneration. Our view is that we should get paid a retainer for the 7 days extended cover, whereas my employer wants to pay on a per call basis, we would need to be available and have ready access to laptop for remote support.

Nov 30, 2007 · As its a company I used to be a permy for (2 years ago) out of hours support was usually about 1-2 a week with the fixes being either 30 minutes or 4 hours, BUT during "tricky" times (i.e. Christmas) when lots of things change this can be a LOT more.
