avl Opera last edited by . Chromium (and all the browsers that are based on it, including opera) dropped support for npapi plugins on version 45, which came out on September of 2015. So, installing a version of opera that was released before that date, e.g. opera 30 or so, will possibly have npappi support.

@Imiguelmh, I was not able to find any official declaration of a recent dropped support of NPAPI. Even with playing around with Opera myself though, I was still not able to get the Java plug-in to be recognized – Chris G Jan 20 '16 at 23:38
