i hope you can give me the clear answer since i have looked for PPPoA support in OpenWrt. i have Etisalat as the provider, they sell DSL flatrate with crappy Siemens SpeedStream 6250 WLAN modem/router. i want to use this Siemens only as a bridge (i.e. use it only as ANNEX-A capable modem), plugging my WRT54GS into one of LANx ports of the modem ...

I've swapped ISP's and my new router isn't great so I thought I'd treat myself. Please can I have a recommendation for something reasonable. I used to like asus back in the day but I don't know what's the go-to router anymore. Router needs to support: AC (I guess) and PPPoA. Thanks

Jun 09, 2012 · Well tbh that looks a lot more complicated than I have experience with. From what I've seen Gargoyle does not support PPPoA. If this was just simply add a file then I would guess the dev's would have already added this.

For PPPoA (RFC2364) you must also have the following set in your .config file: CONFIG_PPPOATM=m. If not, run make menuconfig and set the following under Device Drivers --> Network device support: <M> PPP (point-to-point protocol) support [*] PPP multilink support (EXPERIMENTAL) [*] PPP filtering <M> PPP support for async serial ports
