In that scenario, my recommendation would be to fully remove those fonts from your system and reinstall them from scratch. Install the fonts from your source by right-clicking on the font file and selecting Install for All Users.. Do Not use the Install option, a new feature of a recent Windows 10 versions which only makes the font visible to the user installing the font.

Jan 28, 2017 · If I copy the character into FInd/Replace it becomes the 3 characters and Indesign cannot replace it with the correct non Unicode character. I also tried copy/paste the character into the Glyph find/replace and it does not show up for find, but will for replace when I type in the GID number.

Aug 14, 2008 · In fact, it can type any character you want, as long as you know the Unicode character for it. For example, the code for a double-prime symbol is 2033. Armed with that knowledge, you can launch the script, type 2033, hit Enter, and the character appears.

To go back to the Original Question it appears that Photoshop does not support Unicode Fonts, at least in this case. As a test, open WordPad, find and select the font Latha (its a Tamil font) and enter on the Keypad with the alt key depressed +2949 you should now have the Tami character displayed.

Since it has been two years since this was posted, is it still true that Adobe InDesign still does not support Myanmar Unicode fonts? Using CC 2017, we can only get the Myanmar characters to appear correct when using non-Unicode fonts.
