Users of these binary versions of OpenOCD must contact their Packager to ask for support or newer versions of the binaries; the OpenOCD developers do not support packages directly. A Note to OpenOCD Packagers ----- You are a PACKAGER of OpenOCD if you: - Sell dongles and include pre-built binaries; - Supply tools or IDEs (a development solution ...

Supported JTAG interfaces. Lots of hardware debuggers use or work with OpenOCD in some fashion. See the documentation for information about configuring a particular hardware debugger. Not all debuggers that work with or use OpenOCD are listed in the documentation.

First, let me say that I am new to linux, so this might be a bit dirty, however; I have successfully programmed the AT90CAN128, based on the mega128 example and some small modifications.

Jan 17, 2010 · > Do you have anything better with JTAG OCD documentation for AVR8? I have read some, but I can not open it. > Yes, but if somebody reworked AVR support in openOCD in a sane way, it would be a matter of adding another config file, fairly trivial. In VSprog, avr8.xml is the only thing needed to be changed to support new deivces.

Apr 27, 2016 · Thanks. OpenOCD is interesting! What hardware do you use? I didn't find anything cheap on aliexpress. For anyone out there with a D10 Mini Xplained, you can make it into a programmer/debugger by removing R110/R111/R112 and take the signal to your off-board D20/D09/etc.

Mar 09, 2019 · Leonardo is powered by an ATmega32u4 AVR-chip, that provides an ISP-interface but not JTAG. So avarice might be the tool of choice rather than openOCD. If your proposal goes along with ISP-based debugging, I will nevertheless give it a try. thanks again, sepp2gl

Isolate all TCL command support: Pure C CLI implementations using –disable-builtin-tcl. Allow developers to build new dongles using OpenOCD's JTAG core. At first, provide only low-level JTAG support; target layer and above rely heavily on scripting event mechanisms.

What is OpenOCD? The Open On-Chip Debugger (OpenOCD) aims to provide debugging, in-system program-ming and boundary-scan testing for embedded target devices. It does so with the assistance of a debug adapter, which is a small hardware module which helps provide the right kind of electrical signaling to the target being debugged. These are
