Jun 14, 2009 · I installed MegaRaid manager on a 2008 server and trying to remotely manage my Open-e server with an LSI card in it. What login/password would I use to connect remotely to my Open-E lsi card to monitor raid functionality? Tried root, admin, administrator for the login and for the Password I used the password I set up for Full-Access. Sent an email to Support but they didn't know.

Feb 25, 2014 · I would guess that a decent raid card and a DAS enclosure will be even cheaper then a custom built server. It would also give you easier managing of the file system permissions. Actually, RAID + DAS will be more fragile and more expensive. Just a factor of how markets work. For storage, buying a new server is often the cheapest route.
