Sep 19, 2016 · I could successfully load JPEG-encoded TIFF files using it. I sent the build script to seikichi by email, and i'm putting it here. It isn't 100% working : the automatic build of the libjpeg library fails for some reason i haven't been able to find.

Jul 12, 2010 · This might be a dumb question, but what is old style jpeg compression? And is it ok, or a bad thing? I notice when looking at the EXIF data on photos I've uploaded to Flickr, that the compression says JPEG (old style.)

Support for Old-style JPEG compression is totally dependent on the capabilities of the installed libtiff. Support for old-style JPEG is a configure option for libtiff.
