I'm surprised that this issue wasn't listed on the issues page because (from what I have read) it has been an ongoing problem. Internet Explorer does not support feeds with DTDs. Got this message in IE 7 when tried add feeds. Ya know - Mozilla doesnt support behaviors, or the popup, or CSS Expressions. behaviors allowed you to get png transparency, years and years ago.

In my case, the problem was not with the feed synchronization task or the Task Scheduler, but a corrupted Feed store database (FeedsStore.feedsdb-ms).I exported the Feeds to a .OPML file using Internet Explorer’s Import and Export Wizard, deleted the Feeds database (and subscribed feeds) and then re-imported the Feeds.That fixed the problem!
