Apr 10, 2017 · USB Printer Support won't appear in Device Manager until the local printer is installed and detected. If USB Printer Support driver were missing i'd expect the installation would error with "Driver not found".

Apr 11, 2017 · I am sure I had the printer turned on but anyway, have done the report again as attached. 01-No, there is no USB 'ding dong' sound when printer is turned on and off, and cannot recall this ever happening. 02-There is nothing there when I try showing hidden devices. 03- No, there is no :Unknown Device showing.

Mar 06, 2018 · The driver could not be loaded because a previous version of the driver is still in memory. I have removed the Printer and now I can not get the computer to see the printer to install it. I still have the USB printing Support Icon in the Device Manager and it has a yellow triangle on it and it says

Without the correct driver it also does not install the DOT4 USB printing support so I cannot even add it as an LPT device and then change the port because there are no USB virtual or DOT4 ports available on the computer. ... Close device manager and reopen it and delete the device if its listed. Should then be able to reinstall it.

Aug 06, 2010 · Open Device Manager and uninstall the two instances of USB Printing Support. Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs and uninstall any software related to your printer. Go to Printers & Faxes. Select the icon for your printer, right-click and delete it. Still in Printers & Faxes, click on File in the toolbar and select Server Properties.
