Jun 01, 2019 · It's a wifi usb adaptor for nintendo systems, including the wii. But the wii you mentioned does not have access to wifi. It will work on systems that do (Not including nintendo switch) You plug it into the pc and use the internet connection the pc has to give internet to the wii systems that don't have access tot the internet over wifi.

Oct 01, 2009 · The chipset in the Nintendo Wireless USB dongle is Ralink 2500, I have it and use it as main wifi card for mutliple OS' (XP, Vista, 7) I have to tweak the Linksys WUSB54G V4(Ralink 2500) drivers to make it work with the Nintendo card in said OS' as an wireless client, you lose the capability of using it as an wifi AP though.
