Under a no-cost extension, grantees can extend a grant's project period one time for up to 12 months through the eRA Commons if. The “self-No Cost Extension” function in eRA Commons allows it for that particular grant type. No term of award specifically prohibits doing so. Nov 22, 2016 · My understanding from an “Ask the NIH expert” session at an SRA Meeting that I attended, that the 25% reduction rule still applies – that you need to be specific in requesting from NIH a reduction greater than 25% for those key personnel named in the NOA, even in a no cost extension year.

Is Other Support limited to grants in which the individual receives direct salary support? No. Other Support includes ALL financial resources received in direct support of research (including pass-through funding).
