Jan 24, 2010 · I previously used Netstumbler to detect local Wi-Fi signals and their channels used so I could tailor mine to a use a different channel than the others in my area. I recently got a new laptop with Windows 7 and it has an Atheros AR9285 wireless adapter which Netstumbler shows as an unknown device and will not work with it.
