To support this you need to install a newer version of svn. MonoDevelop uses the system svn library which is 1.6.16 on macos lion. The simplest thing to do would be to not use tortisesvn, or use an older verison which uses 1.6 style clientside repositories. You can use either 1.6 or 1.7 on the server side, it makes no difference.

Feb 17, 2011 · The nice thing about Monodevelop is that it has built in support for subversion. The bad thing is that getting that really to work is a real PITA. There is no documentation at all how to set up a Subversion repository and having MonoDevelop (for Mac)communicate without completely crashing over and over again.
