Sep 23, 2010 · I am a Chinese and (of course) type Chinese a lot.Though TeXMakerX claims to support UTF-8,typing Chinese in it doesn't work well.The cursor is just not at the right place.Instead,it always appear in the middle of all Chinese characters but in effect it is at the end.

Dec 26, 2017 · Make sure first that LaTeX engine with support for xelatex is installed. ... MikTex is also an viable option. But TeX Live is prefered. Find a valid Chinese font. You can use fc-list :lang=zh to find valid Chinese font on your system, an example output is shown below:

According to Herbert Voss (who maintains the pstricks package): "On CTAN is a fixed version since several days. And TeXLive already has it" -- Herbert So, the problem (according to Herbert) is that the MikTeX repos are (still) out of date wrt to pstricks.
