Aug 04, 2016 · First and Foremost, I understand that Microsoft discontinued Blu-Ray drive support in Windows 10. I have a laptop that is running Windows 10 Professional x64 (upgraded from Windows 7 Professional x64). After upgrading to Windows 10 Pro x64, Blu-Ray support was still enable on my laptop and my Blu-Ray drive was a Plextor External Blu-Ray Reader.

After getting a brand new media center PC with a nice integrated blu-ray drive, I am dismayed at the lack of support media center or other third party software has for blu-ray on a PC. Power DVD that comes with the blu-ray drive is shockingly awful and unfit for purpose. Placing a disc into the drive exits media center and loads Power DVD.
