Sep 07, 2012 · chrome will support MathML as soon as webkit does, chrome relies on webkit to handle this part of the rendering process. It looks like the webkit project is finally moving forward on this, it has been an outstanding problem for years.

Chrome doesn't support MathML, not even in the dev version. I don't know about Safari. So why does this article repeatedly claim the contrary? The only two browsers currently usable for MathML in practice are Firefox and IE (+ MathPlayer). Opera has some broken support that's not suitable for practical use.

Aug 28, 2019 · Chromium is really the same as Google Chrome modulo minor differences. During this refactoring, MathML was disabled and Blink has remained without support ever since. The latest version of Chromium does not support MathML rendering, so basically it renders text without any math layout: MathML in Blink-based Chrome 76.0.3809.100 for Linux (2019)
